Joshu, was of Israelitish birth, and also an i-e-su, born near Jerusalem [around two thousand years B.K. –ed.]. His predecessors were of the tribe called Es’seans (Essenes), or non-resistants. He labored to restore the true Mosaical teachings. Ultimately he was stoned to death in Jerusalem. He also taught the doctrine of one Great Spirit only. In the Christian New Testament it has been supposed that the so-called Sermon on the Mount is a plagiarism on Joshu’s teachings, adapted by the Ecumenical Council under the direction of the emperor Constantine. –Ed.
