Tablet of OM: The Lost Tablet

TABLET OF OM The Lost Tablet In June of 2014, Gwen Walton invited me to her home in England. There she shared with me many of the documents of the Kosmon Church of England. These documents are Trance Addresses and Lectures by members given in Kosmon Church over the 100 plus years the group has been meeting in worship of the Great Spirit. When I returned to Guatama (the name the angels use to refer to the American continents) I brought copies of many of these documents with me, so that now these precious messages from spirit are found in both Guatama and Ong (England). There are so many papers it will take years to get all of them digitized to share with those who have undertaken the spiritual studies. In some of the first papers I worked with there are references to the Tablet of OM; also, in some of the Trance Addresses this Tablet is sometimes called the Center Tablet in OAHSPE. References to the Tablet of OM occurred mainly in the late 1930s, in conjunction with discussion of the Tablets with text HI'YI/HO'ED and ARABINYA/ANCIENT EGYPT. This was a time of great spiritual Light for Kosmon Church. It seemed that the angels assumed the English Faithists knew what they were discussing when Tablet of OM was mentioned. Trance Addresses stopped during WWII, and when they resumed meetings after the war, Kosmon Church was told to move to the countryside which was free of the trauma suffered in London because of the V-2 Rockets and bombings. Once Kosmon Church was established in Tadworth, Surry, the Trance Addresses resumed, and one of the first addresses was a description of the Tablet of OM. Reading the description brings the realization that the Nine Entities, found in most Editions of OAHSPE at the beginning of "Book Of Ben", originally was part of the Tablet of OM, and that the Tablet of OM had been edited out of OAHSPE. Whoever did the editing for the 1882 Edition, inserted the Nine Entities, out of context, at the beginning of the "Book of Ben." The description of the Tablet of OM explains that there are two pillars with an arch containing the Nine Entities connecting the two pillars. Using the spiritual concept of the one Pillar symbolic of the Receptive Vibration and the other Pillar symbolic of the Going Forth Vibration the Nine Entities span the arch with four Entities on the Going Forth side and four Entities on the Receptive side. Centered at the top of the arch, the Key Stone is the Creator, making the ninth Entity. Under the Arch stands an angelic figure holding an evenly balanced `balance scale'. There are other symbols in the description of the tablet, including a Lion with its paw on the Sacred Name. Someone in England drew the two pillars and placed the Arch of the Nine Entities spanning the pillars, and it is included with this article. The focus of this Tablet is on the Nature of the Creator as both the Going Forth Vibration and the Receptive Vibration. This was not understood without the concept of the Creator's `balance' present in the Tablet; therefore, you will note various ways the Nine Entities were organized in different editions of OAHSPE.  We are told by Andrew Howland, in letters to Faithists after Newbrough passed on into spirit, the editing that was done was to shorten OAHSPE. John Lockwood is generally credited with most of the editing and footnotes. Lockwood was a well- educated English Ordained Shaker minister who knew Newbrough and became a Faithist upon reading OAHSPE. Lockwood was entrusted with the editing and also writing the footnotes and the commentary that appears in some editions of OAHSPE. In studying the Tablet of Om and what was written about it in the Trance Addresses from 1930, it seemed obvious the angels were unaware that the Tablet of OM had been edited out of OAHSPE. If the angels were unaware that this Tablet was not in OAHSPE, it would seem they had not been consulted about the editing. This line of thinking led me to "Book of Knowledge", which was also edited out of OAHSPE. We have the "Book of Knowledge" today because in the 1950s the Essenes of Kosmon of Montrose, Colorado, found it among the papers in the Old Trunk that contained the John Lant copper printer's plates with their proof sheets of the first transcription of OAHSPE. The story of the Old Truck is told in the article "The Old Trunk" that has appeared in both KOSMON VOICE and KOSMON UNITY (publication of the English church), and is being republished on line for students. It was not until I read the description of the Tablet of OM that I realized the importance of the "Book of Knowledge" as a lengthy discussion of the Nine Entities. The English Church was unaware of the "Book of Knowledge" until the 1950s after it was published by the Essenes of Kosmon. It would appear that "Book of Knowledge" and the Trance Address describing the Nine Entities were made available around the same time, "Book of Knowledge" in Guatama, and the Trance Address with the description of the Tablet in Ong. However, it is only now that students have these two parts of the Tablet of OM together, available for study. It is not the purpose of this article to discuss the significance of the Tablet of OM. Through the Trance Addresses, the angels grouped three Tablets together for study: Tablet of HY'YI with text HO'ED, Tablet of ARIBANIA with text TABLET OF ANCIENT EGYPT, and Tablet of OM. These three tablets contain much helpful focus for study and meditation. The Trance Addresses instruct us that these two Tablets are to be studied deeply before undertaking the study of Tablet of OM. The Trance Addresses discussing these two Tablets have been the subject of the Wednesday Evening Conference Calls, and can be accessed because the sessions were recorded. If there is interest in repeating the discussion of these Tablets in the future, please let us know. The purpose of this article is to draw attention of those who read OAHSPE to the fact that the Tablet of OM was edited out of OAHSPE, and from the Trance Addresses it seems obvious the angels did not know it was not in the published version of OAHSPE. Because the angels gave a description of the Tablet in the 1950s, we can be sure that any other information we need that was edited out will be provided for us as we grow into the understanding which would make the information valuable in our studies. This knowledge adds weight to the discussion originating with Jim Dennon that the 1882 Edition is the closest we have to the original text as given by the angels. It also brings focus to the understanding that the Editing which was done was not done at the instruction of the angels.  We plan to publish on this site the article, THE OLD TRUNK.
