Kosmoi Noetikon.
.
A Treatise.
.
Kosmoi Noetikon, which means Light of the Kosmon teachings, was given thru
a su'is (sensitive or medium): and, though it is largely symbolical it does no doubt
portray a condition of things to come when the seventh era race is more fully
advanced.
The three centers of consciousness mentioned in the opening passage, are no
doubt the three psychic centers, one of which is associated with the PINEAL
GLAND and the other the pituitary body, whilst the third is probably the
mysterious psychic center hinted at by some occultists and which is not yet active
except in the advanced adept.
In the Book of Judgment, CH. 39. Vrs. 10, we read:
"They shall have su'is and see without mortal eyes, and hear without mortal
ears. My angels shall appear before them, and walk with them, talking to them and
teaching them of my kingdoms."
The Crown is undoubtedly the twelve signs of the zodiac: whilst the seven
jewels are the planets which are said to rule the signs. Throughout the symbology
points to a time when the race will have attained its HI-DAN hence one hour
after Noon.
What the Race will be in that day we can but dimly envisage.
We read further in "Judgment (vrs.15)":
"And many shall attain to adeptism and in spirit go out of their mortal bodies
and appear hundreds of miles away."
About the same time that Oahspe was transmitted through Dr. Newbrough,
Madame Blavatsky wrote in the "Secret Doctrine," Vol. 2, p.465:
"The Cycles of Matter will be succeeded by cycles of spirituality and a fully
developed mind.
On the law of parallel history and races the majority of the future mankind will
be composed of glorious adepts."
The prophets have ever spoken of a Golden Age which the Earth once enjoyed:
and, which will one day return as the Millennium.
All through Kosmon teachings the fact that we are preparing for that day is
particularly emphasized.
At the present time it is given to only a few to attain adeptism, but all can
advance the Kingdom of Light through some service.
In the Book of Inspiration we read:
"That mortals and angels may leave and labor in concert, behold, I have given
1
certain days whereby large congregations on earth may be met by my organic
heavens in reunion, mortals and angels, for the happiness of both, and the glory of
My works."
To-day we are able only partly to realize this ideal. But of course the World has
passed through a very great crisis.
Mankind can but slowly react to spiritual impulses. But, dear reader, it is for
you to do your part to help the GREAT AWAKENING!
-
A Treatise Received from the Higher Spirit Spheres.
-
There is a tract in the organ of physical consciousness which is not yet active: it
is the coordinating of three centers which at present work independently from each
other. When these three centers work in unison, the function of each will blend
and produce a forth. This fourth function is the faculty related with the activity of
the higher consciousness, and this higher consciousness is co-incident with an
interior plane of life, of which mankind in the present period of time, has but little
knowledge.
This faculty is akin to what some mystics term inspiration, yet it is different,
because it is the ability to apprehend through the power of the upper mind, those
things which, with the ordinary methods of thought it is not possible to know
fully.
In the New Race, the finer vibrations of the interior planes of life will become
more and more realized and understood. The present Race is developing the
color-sound sense, and there is a greater leaning toward interpreting the
phenomenal world aesthetically. This greater desire for harmony, and the
abandonment of the tribal-war spirit, points to a New Age governed by laws of
rhythm and harmony.
Silently but surely, the world is moving toward a state of equilibrium, and this
is not so much a result of laws, as the position of the earth in the greater realm of
cosmic life. Just as the tides ebb and flow, so do the waves of spiritual life ebb and
flow with no uncertain measure.
It is difficult to understand to what heights the human race will have attained
during the final stages of the grand earth story. We can look back and note the
advance of the human race since the glory of Apollo set his seal upon it, and man
began to unfold towards the god. "For the Great Spirit is all Harmony and
Perfection, abounding in time and in worlds to accomplish all possible imaginings;
wherefore, be ye magnified in conception....."
(Oahspe, p. 110).
Beyond the planes of psychic light and shadow is the realm of supernal glory,
the home of the Great Ones of Splendor who are themselves the light of the
2
Throne of wisdom. They live in harmony with the universe. They move and have
their being at the very heart beat of the celestial spheres. Their home is the realm
of glory and from the planes where they dwell, they are ever sending forth the
power and the glory which shall quicken and make alive, all that is slumbering
within the heart and soul of man. Those who are receptive can receive this power
without a doubt, and in receiving, can live in the light of the love Adorable.
"I have also given man capacity to attain to know My inspiration he receiveth
from his surroundings. To no other creature gave I this capacity."- (Oahspe, Book
of Inspiration, Ch. 7 vrs. 9, p.819).The spiritual ecstatic without interior
knowledge can receive, and be lifted up, but thrice blessed is he who receives with
knowledge. The ordinary schools of learning have taken us a long way toward
understanding the universe in which we live, but who shall lead us to understand
the world beyond the physical plane ? Reasoning by analogy will help us, but an
inner experience will help us more. If a new faculty awakens which can carry us
into realms of thought at present closed to us, then surely we shall be as those who
no longer see as through a darkened glass.
Obeying one impulse-the throbbing of the Universal Heart, a body of men and
women shall dedicate themselves to service, that Noetikon may be their portion,
for only by expression can the spirit grow. Then, shall come to them, the "light of
the eye", the knowledge of things as they are, as distinct from that which they
appear to be; and the great outpouring shall find them ready for the interior light of
heavenly wisdom, and they shall walk and talk with God. Being themselves
directed by the powers with which they have become atone, they will direct the
growing Race by the powers of spirit and the laws of the higher life.
Already their numbers are many , and each day sees the gradual realization of
the ancient promise, that moved by the spirit which is of God, man will turn away
from destruction, disharmony and death. Objectifying the spirit within, he shall
walk the earth upright, without fear , sickness or want, and guided by the angels
of wisdom, who in turn will appear in mortal form and talk with man, face to face.
Then over the wide earth, smiling in the sun, peace shall reign unto the end, which
is Adu.
It was one hour past high noon, and the three Chiefs within the temple of the
Sun drew nigh unto the center thereof . Since before the beginning of the day, they
had labored, each in his separate place, and now as they clasped each the other's
hand, one said: "Let us now unite under the perfecting of our work in praise."
Thus with hands united they stood looking upward, and a great light appeared over
the place where they stood. A light greater then that of the sun filled the Temple,
and it's form was that of a twelve pointed crown. Brilliant beyond measure its
radiance became, and seven colors, each of which gave forth it's particular luster,
came from the jewels set within the crown.
Thus as the Masters stood enwrapped in wonder, a Voice spake from the crown
saying: "To know me is to know all things. Before the time when Time began, I
3
WAS. When Time shall be no more, I AM. When Time is as a scroll that is rolled
up, I SHALL BE, I AM LIGHT. I AM CENTRAL. I AM BOUNDLESS."
As the Masters with clasped hands stood looking upwards, the Book of
Knowledge was opened unto them, and as they watched and waited full of
wonder, there came to them knowledge of things past, present and to come. They
saw the play of color in the realm of ether pulsating and rhythmic, directed and
controlled by a still finer plane of ether. Then each color gave forth a note, and the
tone thereof made a form, and there were in all seven tones, and seven forms, and
yet, there was only one form at last.
All things that lived or had ever lived appeared before them, and each thing
seemed to be produced and governed by one of the seven tones, and everything
gave forth a note, which in it's turn helped to make up a grand Supreme Harmony;
and the crowning form of all was Man, and Man stood in the wilderness alone, all
other things seemed alien from him, although without them he could not be, for
there was but One Form.
Man strove, first moving with the Light, and then against it, and when he
moved in unison with the light, he grew unto beauty, even that of Apollo, but
striving against the Light, he sank and became as the brutes around him, and
suffered pain, disease and death.
These Masters saw also the age of earth was even as an age within a greater
Age, eon resolving eon. They knew the great cycle of four million seven hundred
thousand years, and watched the earth follow the sun and its family through this
grand sweeping circuit; and at each arc of this great circle, they saw the gods who
came, bringing the seeds of heavenly wisdom, saw them leave, and then Man with
his own devices struggling to become as the gods, and thru experience
objectifying his individuality, his power to be.
Then they saw that Man who had struggled upward on the path of unfoldment
had now reached Kosmon, the Age of Wisdom, and that all the earth was brighter
then it had ever been. Now the forms of men were semi luminous, and the vision
was active not only on the earth plane, but penetrated the veil of matter. As they
breathed it seemed as if in some way nature responded, their breathing itself was
different, and the semi luminous orb that clothed them changed its colors as their
thoughts changed. Now it had come to pass that there was no more death. For
those whose life on earth was about to close left the body in trance, and returned
no more to it; yet they were able to return in the semi luminous form that had
shone through the body while they had lived in it. Erstwhile the physical body
quickly resolved back to the original elements from which it was built, there was
no form of decay.
In those days, everyone was a contributor to the needs of all, so that every
necessity was provided for and wants were few. Even so, because henceforth Man
lived in the Light, to him all interior harmonies were open, and the earth life was
4
the beginning of wisdom.
Communication between earth and the planets which were in a similar state of
unfoldment was established, hence the range of physical knowledge was
increased.
Kosmon Man delighted in multiplying things of beauty, and increasing the
variety of forms of plants, and the themes of musical expression. Art had truly
touched the plane of transcendence, and born in his inner experience, the artist had
found an unending source of inspiration.
Again and again there appeared amongst the groups of men one in particular
whose light seemed greater then that of his fellows. His words were with power,
and he radiated an aura of glory which named him as a Son of God. So also it had
come to pass that the gods had returned to dwell with men again, and each was a
center of radiant love. They taught and guided by their superior wisdom the groups
of people to whom they had come.
In this Age of Celestial Wisdom, part of the day was devoted to work, and a
part to the observance of spirit expression. The workshop and the temple had
become inter-related. Just as the athlete needs physical exercises, so does the
spiritual man require spiritual observances.
In a body vibrating with spiritual energy no physical disease could find a
lodgment, and physical disorders were ever counteracted by those living in the
Light. Here also it was well understood how the sun and moon, the planets and the
signs of the zodiac, by the interplay of cosmic energies qualified and conditioned
the ether, causing psychic storms and changes of spiritual light and darkness.
So the prophets of those days could well foretell times and conditions inimical
or beneficial unto the Race.
The conditions inimical were guarded against, and advantage taken of those that
were beneficial.
The Masters still in unity continued to observe, and beheld the things that are to
be. This maybe difficult to understand perhaps, yet consider, how difficult it
would be to see the things which now are for one who lived a century ago, unless
he possessed prophetic sight.
The Masters saw that in the fullness of the Kosmon Age, when a man desired to
visit a distant place and return there from in a short space of time, he would seek
seclusion and sink into deepest trance. Erstwhile, rising in the semi-luminous body
would go, urge by the firm promptings of his will, to that place, carried on the
wings of his inmost desire. Even as he reached the place, so would he see and be
seen by those to whom he had come with all his faculties acute, as if he were in
very truth functioning as in a physical body amongst them. After all, is not the
physical body but a form in which the man of earth must live, the physical plane
to comprehend; but with a form of finer substance could he not also live more in
5
contact with the spiritual planes at times? Even so it had come to pass.
In consequence of his broadened vision, Man no longer sought to differ from
his brother in matters of belief or doctrine, since now to all the plane of
understanding was truly open. Even so could each see for himself and see aright.
Then over the wide earth the reign of universal peace and brotherhood had
come; and since one evil thought of hate or selfishness poisoned the sensitive
structure of the luminous body, each one sought to care for spiritual health, both
for himself and his fellow-kind. Each day saw the building of a Kingdom, and the
answer to the Essenes prayer : "Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth,
even as it is done in heaven".
Thus did the three as one observe, and the hour of high noon became advanced.
Then a golden light flooded the Temple wherein they stood, and it was in the form
of an egg, and on the circumference thereof its aura was the palest green like unto
the waters of the river Nile.
As they waiting stood, expectant still, the Voice spake, and delivered the
oracletion, which, manifested in the word of Man, is the science of illumination,
and in the word of God, the revelation of the spheres of Perfect Understanding.
The key whereof being ever the same-the golden harmony of the souls redeemed
thru the undying love. For after all, is it not declared that the Heavenly Father
Who is the One Eternal, is ever the Three as comprehended in the One, even the
summation of the perfect triad, wisdom, love, power.
Then the Masters released their hands and the light within the Temple became
normal as before. So did each one retire to his place, until further service called
them once again unto the uniting in prayer and praise.
-
Ave Emetha-Amen.
-
To him who readeth herein, it is shown that the organ of physical consciousness
is the temple of light wherein shineth the light of higher understanding. The three
Masters are the three faculties which, until the high-noon of the Kosmon Era,
work separately, but uniting in the hour of spiritual exaltation, become as one
within the center of the temple, whereby knowledge cometh to a man even as it is
written: "The sum of all Man's knowledge is but Man's capacity to perceive My
Light, saith the All One."
Just as the clouds of the air are produced by the condensation of moisture which
hitherto remained invisible, in like manner, the etherean currents bring forth a'ji,
ji'ay and nebulae, the three degrees of condensation of etheric substance prior to
the making of corporeal world. It is by reason of this that the unseen becomes
seen. Thus we read in Oahspe : " Just as the material man beholds corporeal
things, so does the spiritual man follow upward the dissociated spiritual elements
of things. "
6
The process of the condensation of a physical globe is as follows. Firstly ethe,
then a'ji, next ji'ay, nebulae, gaseous matter, liquids and solids. First a fiery mass,
then cooling, and gradually rocks appear out of the seething liquids. In course of
time, life begins to manifest. This is the first Age of seed-time, and is known as
Se'mu.
Se'mu may also be described as the primal manifestation of life, and it is
anterior to the so called physical basis of life, and must not be confused with any
form of physical substance. It is in itself the physical basis of life, and quickens
the physical substance responsive to it.
All matter is sensible, and the more highly organized the form of matter, the
more sensible it is, whether we observe it in the fixed form of crystalline structure,
or the mobile forms of organic substances such as are known to biologists. Matter
is resolvable into molecules, atoms, electrons and protons; and then, beyond that,
to ji'ay and a'ji, which are of an etheric nature and differentiated only so far as the
etheric plane is concerned.
In the cosmos we have a universe subject to cyclic changes. The earth itself is a
living organism, and responds to the changes occurring in the sun and companion
planets. An impulse generated in one, sweeps through all, adown the mighty
stream of vortexian energy which holds them all.
The earth, the planets, the sun, the moon and starry spheres, all partaking of the
One Life, moving and pulsating with an orderly precision. The I am is at the back
of all. The I AM said: "To know Me is to know all things."
The capacity to know all things is given to Man, and to attain such great
knowledge is obviously associated with the journey back through the planes we
have touched in our descent from the Source of All. The journey back is by
transcendence, and Kosmoi Noetikoi points the way.
The great Life-wave sweeping outward from the inmost center passes through
the seven planes, and materializes in forms of life known to man as physical. This
great Life-wave follows the law of rhythmic impulse, and the same impulse
produces times of a'ji, ji'ay and nebulae.
In the descending cycle, the human soul passes through those seven planes, and
takes on the conditions of each; this is the subjective molding of the soul , which
finally enters a physical body on the earth. In the earliest age of Man on earth, he
did not possess the power of ethearealizing his individuality-his
self-consciousness, and so fulfilled only the function of an Asuan or primitive
type. With the coming of the etherean at the time of the first etherean descent, the
individual soul received the spark of the life eternal, and it henceforth became
possible for him to breathe celestially. Hence after, a NEW spirit proceeded from
the All One, and Man became an inheritor of life eternal.
As the great Life-wave throws down into matter the primal or elementary soul,
it carries with it all the potentials of the planes through which it has passed. These
7
are locked up as latent powers within it when it reaches the earth, just as the rose is
essentially locked up within the bud.
This elementary soul will dissolve back into the great ocean of soul UNLESS it
is quickened by the spirit that proceeds out from the great All One. But such
dissolution is a slow process, for the elementary soul of an animal persists after the
body is dead always in proportion with its having come into contact with the
human will in any way. From the elements of the animal plane the body is built ;
that is to say, the etheric animal plane, but the quickening power of the ray of light
from the Supreme gives it the transcended quality. Therefrom, as a man identifies
himself with the All One and lives in constant association with the spiritual planes,
he uses this transcending power and actually transmutes the animal body, which in
the Adept, may have become an arch-natural body.
Herein lies an Arcanum which needs the application of the higher mind to
understand fully. So does"....man follow upward the dissociated spiritual elements
of things. "
As he ascends, he receives more fully of the influx of lifepower in the double
vortex, and the latent powers unfolds just as the rose unfolds from the bud under
the influence of sunlight. But since the descending soul cannot take unto itself an
animal body in which to manifest physically on the material plane, unless it
manifests as male or female, it must bring with it that potency. Yet since all
things possess this duality potentially, so does the human soul, for it is not written,
"the All One is both positive and negative. " Herein also is an Arcanum, the which
to know is to live.
Here we know in part, but hereafter we shall know wholly. Let us ever seek the
All Perfect within all things, then we shall find a Light that can never fail.
